Ya, so I'm pretty busy.

Wanted to let you know that I am still aware of this blog. I will be attempting to post more, for right now I'm posting more regularly on Deviant Art which is linked through this site as well.

Heart Shirt Touch-up...

I did not like the pixels being so visible around the red, so I tweaked a couple of things. Any comments are welcome.

Finally an update! I have been doing things I promise! I am currently working with my new colleague Cheryl Church adding six art classes to Carthage High School's art program. I am determined to do more art though! I am currently on page 2 of a comic story, I may begin pencilling page 3 once I'm done posting these images.

Brushpen!

I love my new brushpen! This dragon is a blown inkspot, once I blew out a couple of lines I then used the brushpen to finish the dragon. I really enjoy my new toy. Thanks for looking.

Small Update

Just got back from 'walking' at my graduation at Missouri Southern State University. I will begin posting with much more regularity after next week. I am trying to update my computer situation for digital work. That is all for now, sorry for the lag in posts, this semester (my last) has been a bear.

Signed my contract.

On April 11, 2008 I signed my contract to teach Art at Carthage High School. I am very excited to begin teaching. Though right now I have to work on all my graduation/certification prepartations.

Being Devious

In case you hadn't noticed I am also maintaining a Deviant Art page. I believe this will be a further source of networking and community for me. Both will be home to new images as well as some older ones, please feel free to comment on either format, I am just trying to branch out farther and allow people to see my work and talk to me about it. Spring Break = Time to post

This is another salvaged image from my sketchbook. Colored pencils are very fun, I enjoy the line quality I'm able to achieve with them.

Small update.

I am in the middle of my student teaching this spring, I apologize for the tardiness of this blog. I have been working on some images and will post some more, thank you for your patience and understanding.

American History X

Edward Norton in all his glory. Renae and I watched this movie the other night. I really felt like drawing Norton's character. I left the skin white intentionally because of the Arian beliefs of the character.

Old Lines, New Colors

This is an older image I recently colored with pencils. I've really never tried those before, though I thoroughly enjoyed the process and the results, so much so I will be using colored pencils much more often!

Zombies! -step 1-

These are my initial pencils for an image I am making for my wife Renae. I will be inking this along with coloring and drawing a larger background to go along with it. I will post my progress.
